Abstract: In the epiphany moment of confronting the other oriental epistemic discourse, postmodernist erasure of boundaries has made humanities across cultures a seamless corpus of knowledge interface. The same a priori delimitation of knowledge was also reflected in the Radhakrishnan Commission’s 1948 proposal to distinguish between fact, nature, event, society and values, spirit as subject matter of natural science, social science, and humanities, respectively. According to Bakhtin, the need for comparative dialogic to create cross-cultural dialogic in order to eradicate discourse homogeneity and undermine the epistemic domination of Western knowledge has now come to light. In a similar vein, the Orientalist paradigm ought to shift into, more precisely, a South-South humanities discourse and a reconfiguration of the Asian problem of singularities in humanities. To develop what Derrida refers to as Transformed Humanities, or New Humanities, a shift and rethinking are vitally necessary in order to arrive at a thorough comprehension of humanity as a whole.
