CHALLENGING ROLE OF THE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS OF SULU NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN UTILIZING MODULAR LEARNING APPROACH

Abstract:
This study aimed to determine the challenging role of the senior high school teachers in utilizing modular learning approach. The study contained four research questions: [1] What is the demographic Profile of the respondent in terms of gender, age, year level handled and educational attainment? [2] What is the role of the senior high school teachers of sulu national high school in utilizing modular learning approach? [3] What is the perception of the teachers of sulu national high school? [4] Is there an association of challenging roles to the demographic profile of the sulu national high school. This study used quantitative approach, quantitative research refers to collecting and evaluating numerical data to test a hypothesis or identify patterns and correlation within the numbers. Descriptive research design, is used to understand a phenomenon, a situation, or a population this research is used when trying to identify characteristics, categories, and trends. The quantitative data were obtained from checklist questionnaire. Based on the provided data, the findings suggest a higher proportion of females in the sample population, an equal distribution between Grade11 and Grade12, and varying levels of educational attainment. There is unanimous agreement among participants regarding the statement evaluated, with generally high mean rating, indicating agreement on average. The correlations between gender, age, year level handled, educational attainment, and the role of teachers in utilizing the Modular Learning Approach are weak and generally non-significant. The study recommended the following research problems: [1] Practices of Public and Private Schools in Delivery of Modular Learning. Approach; [2] Longitudinal Analysis of Teachers’ Role in Modular Learning Approach; [3] Factors Influencing Teachers’ Role in Modular Learning Approach; [4] Comparative analysis of the Modular Learning Approach in Different Educational contexts; [5] Relationship between Educational Attainment and the Role of Teachers in Utilizing the Modular Learning Approach: Mixed-Method study.
